CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) — Maya Millete was last seen at her Chula Vista home on Thursday night. Her brother-in-law says she vanished without a trace.

Richard Drouaillet says the family knew something was wrong when she stopped answering calls.

"We had plans Big Bear and she never replied Thursday," Drouaillet said worried.

Drouaillet said Millete would never leave her three young children — ages 4, 9, and 11 — and she would never miss her eldest daughter's birthday which was on Sunday.

"She just turned 11 and for her miss that, it's not possible. We just pray to God that she comes home safe and contacts one of us," Drouaillet said.

Millete works as a contract specialist for Naval Base San Diego. Chula Vista Police have interviewed her husband, who is her high school sweetheart. He last saw her at home on Thursday.

Detectives say the couple had marital problems but at this point they have no leads or any indication of foul play. Drouaillet says the couple got into an argument the day before her disappearance.

"He says it's not the first time she has gone away, but my wife knows her sister really well, and she knows that this is not normal," Drouaillet said.

The family has set up this Facebook page — waiting on pins and needles.

"It's overwhelming, there's nothing else to do but get her home. That's the number one thing ... Find her, get her home," said Drouaillet.

ABC 10News has reached out to Millete's husband but has not heard back.
