CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) — A fire investigation is underway after a body was found inside of a burning trailer and a woman was injured in San Diego's Chula Vista neighborhood Sunday afternoon.

The Chula Vista Police Department confirmed with ABC 10News that firefighters received a call around 1:02 p.m. about a fire at a trailer park behind an ice cream shop on Mason Street near Britton Street.

When firemen arrived at the scene, they found a travel trailer fully engulfed in flames. After putting out the blaze, firefighters went inside and found a body. They believe the deceased person lived in the trailer.

CVPD says they are not sure if the victim is a man or a woman, nor do they know the cause of death. A woman at the scene was burned by the fire, but it is unclear if she lived in the affected trailer or not.

No other injuries have been reported.
