SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — An inbound plane suffered brake failure prior to landing at San Diego International Airport Saturday.
Lindbergh Field officials say the small aircraft discovered the brake issue shortly before its scheduled arrival. The plane managed to land safely at about 10:30 a.m. despite losing two tires upon its arrival.
There were only four passengers aboard. No injuries were reported.
The runway was shut down for a short time and reopened about 10 minutes later. The aircraft has been towed away.
