SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are searching for an 88-year-old woman who disappeared Wednesday.

Julieta Amaral was reported missing by a family member Wednesday. Amaral is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and known to frequent the areas of Chicano Park and Logan Heights.

Police described her as a Hispanic woman, about 5-feet tall, and weighing 125 pounds. She has brown eyes, grey hair, and was last seen wearing a black floral, long sleeve sweater and turqoise pants.

She does not know how to use public transportation, police say, and has little money on her.
