SAN DIEGO (KGTV) --A drone aided in San Diego police search for a man possibly carrying a rifle, authorities said Sunday.
Harbor police received a call from a witness just before 5 p.m. of a man having "what looked like a rifle" underneath the pedestrian bridge on Harbor Drive.
The San Diego Sheriff's Department, along with the San Diego police assisted in the search and launched a drone to widen their search. Within minutes they located the suspect, police said.
When officers took the man into custody, the alleged "rifle" turned out to be an air rifle. The man didn't threaten anyone, was cooperative with authorities and handed over the air rifle, police said.
No further details were released.
