SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police have made an arrest in the death of a 20-year-old in the Bay Terraces area last year.
Police said 26-year-old John Orozco was arrested Wednesday for the murder of Joaquin Ruiz of San Diego.
On July 12, 2019, Ruiz was found in a vehicle off the side of the road just before midnight in the 7000 block of Paradise Valley Rd. He was suffering from a bullet wound to his upper body.
Police began first aid at the scene, but Ruiz died of his injuries on the way to the hospital.
The investigation into Orozco is ongoing, and no other details surrounding his arrest or involvement in the murder were released.
