OCEAN BEACH (KGTV) - The San Diego Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that happened in Ocean Beach early Sunday morning.
At 2:10 a.m., the victim was walking on the sidewalk of 1800 Bacon Street when a man came along side of her from a nearby alley, police said. The man grabbed the victim by the arm and pulled her about 30 feet into the alley. The suspect hit the victim in the face, threw her on the ground and sexually assaulted her, according to police. The suspect then got up and ran away.
The victim described the suspect as a white male, 25-35 years old, 5'10", and very thin. The suspect reportedly had short hair or was balding and had a well-trimmed red beard. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt and blue jeans.
