SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Operations returned to normal Tuesday after a suspicious person was reported on Naval Base Point Loma.
The base notified personnel via Facebook to shelter in place saying, “We have a security incident in progress.”
Officials on base later posted another message on Facebook, asking that anyone with information on a “suspicious individual with a long object wrapped in a blanket near Sub Base Barracks” come forward.
Officials later confirmed to 10News that the report of the suspicious person was investigated and “nothing came of it.”
