Two people found dead inside Carlsbad home identified

CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) — The two people found dead inside a Carlsbad home have been identified in what police described as a murder-suicide.

According to police, on Feb 13, officers responded to the 500 block of Village Drive just after 6 p.m. to conduct a welfare check. Officers were informed that a person inside the home sent a message to a family member saying that he had killed his ex-girlfriend and was going to commit suicide, police said.

Officers found 33-year-old Hilton Williams and a 44-year-old Mary Knott dead inside the home when they arrived. The details leading up to the incident are unknown at this time.
