SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Oceanside Police on Sunday announced the arrest of a man in connection with his 78-year-old grandmother's murder.
Police received call Friday at 11:45 p.m. about a man man yelling and making threats against his grandmother at a residence located at 309 Edgehill Lane, according to Oceanside police spokesman Tom Bussey.
Responding officers contacted Andre Hansen and detained him while they checked on the welfare of his grandmother.
"During a safety sweep of the residence officers found the grandmother who had sustained some upper body trauma and was pronounced deceased by Oceanside Paramedics," said Bussey.
Hansen, 34, was arrested for the murder of his grandmother, said Bussey.
The grandmothers name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The case investigation is continuing by the Oceanside Police Departments Crimes of Violence Unit.
