OCEANSIDE (KGTV) — A man was rescued after jumping from the pier Sunday, according to the Oceanside Fire Department.
It happened around 2:11 p.m. after witnesses reported a man "entered the ocean from the north side of the pier."
Witnesses say the man "entered" the water fully clothed and was carrying a backpack.
Lifeguards rescued the man and transported him to Scripps La Jolla Hospital.
The man's condition is unknown at this time.
