ENCINITAS, Calif. (KGTV) -- Nearly 4,000 people were left without power in Encinitas and Cardiff-By-The-Sea as storms battered San Diego County Thursday night.
According to the San Diego Gas and Electric outage map, 3,702 people were initially affected at the height of by he unplanned outage.
It's unknown what caused the outage, but it occurred just after a large storm passed through the county.
By 9:30 p.m., restoration of power began for customers.
