ESCONDIDO, Calif. - A man reportedly wearing a bag over his head robbed an Escondido gas station at gunpoint early Tuesday morning.
Escondido police said the incident happened at around 3:45 a.m. at the Chevron station on 215 E. Via Rancho Pkwy.
According to police, the man was wearing a cloth bag over his head, a maroon sweater, shorts and flip flops with socks when he pointed a weapon believed to be a handgun at a clerk.
The gunman, described as heavyset and weighing about 250 pounds, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No further details on the incident were released.
