SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man found dead in the water off a beach in Encinitas was identified by authorities.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office said lifeguards found the body of 26-year-old Gabriel Reed near a surfboard in the water off Moonlight State Beach on Sept. 11 at around 4:30 p.m.
Reed was pronounced dead after being brought to shore.
The cause of his death was listed by the ME’s Office as “pending.”
