JACUMBA HOT SPRINGS, Calif. (KGTV) -- A hearing date for the placement of a sexually violent predator has been canceled.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday night that a February 3 hearing for Michael Poulsom has been canceled. “A new date will be forthcoming” the department said.

The California Department of State Hospitals planned the hearing about the possible placement of Poulsom in Jacumba Hot Springs.

Poulsom was convicted in the 1990s of committing lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.
