SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A family of five was taken to the hospital after a suspected stolen car that was being pursued by police crashed into their SUV in Emerald Hills.

At around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, San Diego police tried to pull over a speeding sedan with no license plates at Euclid Avenue and Market Street, but the driver refused to stop.

With officers in pursuit, the car made its way to the intersection of Market and Pitta streets, where it collided with an SUV.

A man, his wife and their three children from the SUV were taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The crash left the driver of the suspected stolen vehicle unconscious, and two passengers were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

No other details on the incident were released.
