CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A gas line break that sparked evacuations in the South Bay Wednesday afternoon has been stopped.

According to crews, the gas line broke around 3 p.m. on the 2800 block of Main Street.

According to San Diego Gas and Electric, an employee at a recycling plant in the area punctured the gas line, causing the three-quarter inch line to break.
