(KGTV) - A pilot escaped unharmed Thursday after a small plane went down just east of the Jamul Casino in Jamul, Cal Fire officials said.
According to Cal Fire officials, a single-engine aircraft went down for unknown reasons shortly before 10 a.m.
The aircraft came to rest on a hillside near state Route 94.
Cal Fire initially reported that the pilot suffered moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital via ambulance but later said the pilot was not injured and evaluated at the scene.
The incident is under investigation.
