SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A driver was arrested after leading San Diego police on a chase that ended in a crash in the Oak Park area.
At around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday, police spotted a pickup truck on Euclid Avenue that was reported stolen and attempted to stop it.
However, the driver refused to pull over and sped off, sparking a brief high-speed chase on surface streets.
At one point during the pursuit, police said the truck drove the wrong way on Euclid Avenue.
The truck eventually crashed through several barriers at a dead end on Palm Street. The driver got out of the wrecked vehicle and ran away.
Officers found the man a short time later in some nearby bushes and took him into custody.
The driver was taken to the hospital for unspecified injuries.
