SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One person was hospitalized early Friday morning after a fiery wrong-way crash on a Hillcrest-area freeway.
The incident was reported at around 1 a.m. on northbound state Route 163, just south of Interstate 8, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials received multiple calls regarding a car traveling southbound on the northbound SR-163 lanes. The car eventually collided with at least three other vehicles, causing one of them to burst into flames.
One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. No other people involved in the wreck were hurt.
10News learned the wrong-way driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
