SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The county will auction off more than 400 properties this month from Oceanside to Chula Vista.

The properties include 53 residential or commercial properties, 324 timeshares, and 65 parcels of land. The minimum bids for all properties total $12,675,400.

All sales are final, but the county has several tips for buyers to research before making an auction purchase.

“Our online auction platform has allowed us to make this auction available to people around the globe,” said County Treasurer-Tax Collector Dan McAllister. “Last year, we sold 449 properties for $2.8 million.”

Owners of the properties can still avoid going to sale until 5 p.m. on Feb. 27. The county says they make every effort to contact the owners of the properties before the impending sale.

To participate in the auction, bidders must register online by Feb. 20 and must also submit a refundable $1,000 deposit and nonrefundable $35 processing fee.
