CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Police are investigating multiple hit-and-run incidents in Chula Vista that occurred about 30 minutes apart and a short distance away from each other.
At around 12 a.m. Monday, Chula Vista police were called to an area near Broadway and Park Way after reports of a vehicle rear-ending a woman’s car. The impact sent the woman’s vehicle crashing into a parked van. The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
After hitting the woman’s car, police said the hit-and-run vehicle fled but struck two parked cars on Broadway and E Street, leaving behind a front bumper and license plate before speeding away.
Just after 12:30 a.m., police were called to an area off Broadway and F Street -- at least one block from the earlier incidents -- in response to a pedestrian hit by a car in a parking lot. The victim was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and police said the vehicle responsible left the scene.
Police did not immediately release a vehicle description in either incident.
Investigators are looking into the possibility one vehicle was responsible for the hit-and-run crashes.
