SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man was struck on Interstate 805 in the Normal Heights area by a vehicle that fled the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Shortly before 4 a.m. Friday, a Lyft car with several passengers spotted a man lying in the southbound I-805 lanes near I-8 and pulled over.
The passengers got out of their car and dragged the man to the shoulder. The unidentified victim was rushed to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.
Meanwhile, CHP officers gathered pieces of metal that were lying on the roadway that may be part of the hit-and-run vehicle.
