SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are investigating a suspicious death after a body was found near the San Diego River Saturday night.
According to San Diego Police, a man’s body was found on the 9400 block of Friars Road near SDCCU Stadium around 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police say a preliminary investigation revealed signs of “possible trauma to the upper body.”
“Out of an abundance of caution, San Diego Police Homicide detectives were called to the scene and are currently investigating the incident,” the department said.
The man has been identified, but his identity isn’t being released until his family is notified.
