VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) – San Diego County sheriff’s officials are asking for the public’s help in finding a teenage girl with autism who was last seen Thursday afternoon in Vista.

Sheriff’s officials said 15-year-old Abbey Motzer left her home at around 3 p.m. and had no money or a phone with her. Abbey was last seen walking eastbound from the 800 block of E. Bobier Drive.

Officials said Abbey has autism and functions at the level of a 12-year-old. She is not taking any medications.

It was noted by sheriff's officials that Abbey “has previous unreported history of walking away” and “may attempt to hide from law enforcement.”

Abbey is white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. She has short blonde hair in a pixie-cut style and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and white shorts, but officials said she did not have shoes.

Anyone with information on Abbey’s whereabouts is urged to call the sheriff’s department at 760-940-4551.
