SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities Tuesday identified the man killed during a Jet Ski crash over the weekend.
According to the San Diego County medical examiner, 21-year-old Darius Kennedy died after a boat struck his Jet Ski.
The medical examiner says he disappeared under water but emerged. People in the water helped Kennedy, who was taken to the hospital with injuries to his head and torso. He later died.
The crash happened near the north end of Ski Beach around 6:30 Saturday.
The driver of the boat that crashed into the Jet Ski was questioned and the boat taken in for evidence. The name of the boat driver hasn’t been released.
