POWAY, Calif. (KGTV) -- An hours-long standoff that started early Sunday morning near an apartment in Poway has ended, deputies say.
The incident started on the 14000 block of Poway Road around 4 a.m., according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies say the man was suspected in an earlier crime involving assault with a deadly weapon around 3 a.m. Sunday.
Further details on the crime weren’t made available. Poway Road was blocked off for several hours due to the large police presence.
