EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- Deputies are searching for three men suspected in a violent home invasion in the unincorporated Bostonia area near El Cajon.
The incident was reported at around 8:50 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the 1400 block of 5 D Drive, according to San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials.
Officials said a woman and her son were at the home when they heard a knock on the door. When the son answered the door, three armed men barged their way inside.
One of the men struck the woman’s son in the head, according to sheriff’s officials. The woman was not injured.
The men grabbed several items while inside the house and then ran away.
The men were each described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds. The trio were wearing dark clothing, with two of the three wearing masks and the other wearing a bandana.
