JAMUL, Calif. (CNS) - A vehicle crash at a rural intersection in eastern San Diego County left one person dead Wednesday.
The fatal crash took place at Echo Valley and Proctor Valley roads in Jamul at about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The involved vehicle struck a metal railing and was then impaled by it, according to a CHP dispatch message.
The victim died at the scene of the accident.
