SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A local businessman sharing his story of surviving a flight into the darkness.
Steven Jones, who owns a diversity consulting company, flew out early Sunday morning, bound for South Carolina on business. He was connecting through Atlanta. An airport-wide power outage in Atlanta would bring the airport to a standstill for nearly 11 hours. Jones' plane was stuck on the tarmac for about 5 hours.
Jones posted video on his Instagram page, of passengers finally deplaning. Another video shows what greeted him: an airport blanketed by darkness.
Jones eventually found his way his outside, where a his company had booked him a car service to drive him to South Carolina.
He says Delta airlines has offered him a $200 voucher.
