Local couple fears more rain could doom flooded home

Posted

FALLBROOK, Calif. - Two years ago, Bill and Sandi LeMasters moved into their dream retirement home in Fallbrook.

They finally finished getting it together when the rains fell on the afternoon of January 20. Within 10 minutes, they home resembled a lake. The damage totaled more than $200,000.

Bill LeMasters says county sent down cameras to investigate the backed up storm drain and found the clogged up drain some 35 feet from the LeMasters' home.

A week later, nothing has been corrected and the thought of more rain is causing sleepless nights. The couple hired property damage attorney Evan Walker, who talked to 10News' Michael Chen about his own investigation.
