SAN DIEGO - The California Highway Patrol is searching for the driver of a BMW suspected of opening fire at another car in what may have been a road-rage incident.

CHP investigators said a TSA agent was on his way to work in his Ford Mustang when a BMW 7 Series pulled up alongside on the northbound state Route 125 connector, near Jamacha Blvd. in Spring Valley, shortly before 4:30 a.m.

Shots were fired, damaging the Mustang's driver's side window, and the BWM sped away, CHP investigators said.

No one was injured in the incident.

Investigators said they believe the weapon used may have been a pellet gun.
