SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Hundreds of dogs from San Diego County shelters and rescue facilities will be offered for adoption at a massive Halloween-themed adoption event this week.
Howl-o-ween Hounds Mega Adoption Event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Grossmont Center in La Mesa from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The San Diego Animal Support Foundation (SDASF) event will bring together canines from more than a dozen animal shelters across the county - some even rocking their finest Halloween costumes.
Participating agencies include Animal Rescuers Without Borders, Open Arms Rescue, Dogs Fur Days, and Second Chance Dog Rescue. For a full list, check out San Diego Shelters online.
Admission is free to the public.
In addition to offering adoptions, the event will feature San Diego Pet Hospital's "ask-a-vet" booth, where guests can get free advice from qualified veterinary professionals.
