CARLSBAD, Calif. (KGTV) - A "hot prowl" suspect was caught with stolen items from several homes, Carlsbad police said.

Carlsbad Police arrested Trevor Joseph Wilson, 27, of Oceanside, Saturday in the 1100 block of Mariposa Road following reports of an overnight burglary.

Police said a woman called to report her home had been burglarized while she and her family were sleeping. The woman said a purse and wallet had been taken.

Police searching the area located Wilson, who they said appeared suspicious. Officers said they ended up finding several items belonging to two separate residences in his possession.

Wilson also reportedly entered several unlocked cars in the area but did not take anything from them.

Wilson was charged with multiple counts of burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

All stolen property was returned to their owners.

Wilson was booked into Vista Detention Facility on $25,000 bail. He's due in court on Nov. 28.
