SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - One property owner in El Cerrito has a warning about a squatter - of a different sort.
Three days ago, Carlos Ramirez had his 40-foot luxury boat towed from a storage facility to his backyard to be restored.
On Thursday morning, his mechanic climbed onto the boat and found a man - in his 20s - sleeping in the cabin.
Bags of food were found nearby, along with a still-locked safe removed from a cabinet, marked with fingerprints.
According to Ramirez, the man was told to leave and did so.
Ramirez says neighbors' frustrations continue to grow, after a significant increase in the homeless about six months ago.
