HILLCREST, Calif. (KGTV) - One mom has a warning for other women: someone might be watching you.
Early Monday afternoon, just off University Avenue - Klaudia Kapinos says she ran some errands with her one-year-old daughter Sophia, and returned home to a break-in. A window screen was left in the yard. The window had likely been pried open.
The burglar grabbed some 20 pieces of jewelry, some of those pieces family heirlooms.
Kapinos says she and her daughter were gone for less than an hour and a half.
"It was so quick. I feel like someone must have been keeping an eye on me, knowing that I had left the house ... It's such a violation. You don't feel safe in your own homes," said Kapinos.
Kapinos believes the burglar may have been targeting women, because of what else was taken: a manicure kit and dry shampoo.
