SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Heat scorched San Diego County for a third straight day Wednesday, breaking a number of heat records.
According to the National Weather Service, eight cities shattered heat records Wednesday.

Santa Ana and Escondido saw the hottest temperatures topping out at 102 degrees. Other cities to break records included San Diego, Ramona, El Cajon, Vista, Chula Vista, and Alpine.
