Firefighters will be working overtime this Thanksgiving amid dry and warm conditions forecast for turkey day.
The City of San Diego says they are taking additional measures to make sure San Diegans have a safe Thanksgiving with additional staffing Wednesday and Thursday.
The city says it’s also adding five brush rigs with crews of four firefighters per rig, and two water tenders.
Both of the city’s helicopters will be available around the clock on both days. Cal Fire says most house fires begin in the kitchen as a result of cooking.
