AGUA DULCE, Calif. (KGTV) – Firefighters fear that a blaze in Los Angeles County could grow to as much as 1,000 acres before the end of the day, according to KABC.
Evacuations were ordered in the Agua Dulce area Monday afternoon as the blaze, dubbed the Stone Fire, inched closer to structures.
As of 3 p.m. the fire has scorched 300 acres and officials tell KABC the blaze has the potential to grow to as much as 1,000 acres.
The fire, which began as a second-alarm fire, was quickly upgraded to a third-alarm fire just after 1 p.m. Nearly 250 firefighting personnel are reportedly on scene.
