CAMPO, Calif. (KGTV) - Saturday afternoon, flames and heavy smoke filled the air as crews battled the church fire.
The fire has now burned 100 acres and is 75 percent contained as of Sunday morning, according to Cal Fire San Diego. The Church Fire broke out around 1:20 p.m. Saturday.

At least one structure was immediately threatened and an evacuation order was in place was Church Road. SR-94 between Church Road and Shasta Road was closed as crews work to extinguish the flames.

Santa Ana winds and dry conditions are making the weekend dangerous for any possible brush fires in San Diego County. Cal Fire said entering the weekend they plan to have all firefighters on guard.
