SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The FBI and San Diego Violent Crimes Task Force are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspected bank robber.

The agency says the robbery happened Wednesday at 10 a.m. on the 5100 block of Mission Center Road.

The FBI says the man passed a note to the teller demanding cash and threatening to hurt bank customers if the teller didn’t hand over the money.

After receiving an unspecified about of money, the suspect fled the bank on foot. The FBI says the suspect was wearing a denim vest over the top of a grey hooded sweatshirt.

In an attempt to conceal his identity, the robber also pulled the hood over his head and wore a hat and sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call the San Diego FBI at 858-320-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
