Attendees at this weekend's Pride celebration should expect to see "visible" extra security.

Extra police will be on the parade route, though San Diego police have not revealed how much more. The security plan for the event has been in the works for months.

At the Pride music festival, metal detectors will guard the entrance for the first time.

If you bring a bag, it will checked. The number of lanes has been increased to prevent delays.

Organizers expect a record crowd, more than 130,000 between the parade and Pride music festival.

Marques Oliver, owner of Magnus Security Service, walked 10News reporter Michael Chen through the steps you should take in case a crowd comes under attack.
