SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A Jersey Mike’s employee was pistol-whipped during a Saturday night robbery at the sandwich shop, police say.
According to authorities, the robbery happened on the 15000 block of Bernardo Center Drive in Rancho Bernardo just before 11 p.m.
The victim was closing the store when the suspect entered through an open back door before forcing the employee to grab cash from the register and safe.
The man then took the envelop and pistol-whipped the victim. Police say on his way out, the suspect ran into a pillar, dropping the money before getting up and running across a pedestrian bridge.
The suspect is described as a white man, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and roughly 20 to 30 years old. He was seen wearing a black hoodie, black bandana, dark pants and black running shoes.
