VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) - A man was arrested after an elderly woman walked in on him shower in her North County home unannounced.

The man, identified as 47-year-old Jerald Wayne Harris, entered an elderly couple's home in the 26000 block of Valley Center Road just after 11:30 a.m. Friday, San Diego Sheriff's Department (SDSO) Sgt. Shawn Silva said.

Sgt. Silva said the woman arrived home and heard the shower running and walked in to find Harris standing there nude.

The woman's husband was working outside in his shop during the discovery.

Upon finding Harris, the woman ran screaming outside yelling for her husband. When the couple returned inside, Harris had vanished, taking a watch belonging to the woman, Sgt. Silva said.

But deputies said he didn't make it far from the scene.

The woman went back outside and found Harris walking northbound on Valley Center Rd. and followed him until deputies arrived, Sgt. Silva said.

Harris was identified by the homeowners and arrested. A search of Harris turned up the woman's watch, which he was hiding in his pocket, according to deputies.

A records check of Harris revealed he is on parole for burglary and was formerly a sex assault registrant, according to SDSO.
