CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Emergency crews cut a driver out of a badly damaged car following a rollover crash involving another vehicle on Interstate 805 in Chula Vista.
The wreck occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Monday on southbound I-805 at Telegraph Canyon Road, according to authorities.
Authorities said two cars collided for unknown reasons, and both spun out of control and off the side of the freeway. Both cars plummeted down an embankment and crashed into trees.
The crash left one of the drivers trapped in his car, and responding crews were forced to cut out the windshield to free him.
The freed driver was taken to the hospital, and 10News learned he could be facing possible DUI charges.
The condition of the other driver involved in the wreck is unknown.
