SAN MARCOS, Calif.—The deputies involved in a fatal officer involved shooting last week in San Marcos have been identified as Brian Bloomberg and Matthew Shull.

Bloomberg, a 10-year veteran with the San Marcos sheriff's station, fired a handgun while Shull, employed by the sheriff's department for two years, fired a less-lethal shotgun.

A suspect in a home invasion robbery, 34-year-old Isidro Bazan Jr., was fatally shot by Bloomberg on March 2 at 3:15 a.m. in the 600 block of Edgewater Drive.
