ESCONDIDO, Calif. (KGTV) - A North San Diego County freeway worker wants to connect with a bride and groom who lost special wedding keepsakes on Interstate 15 Friday.

Mel Marihugh found a bag full of custom flip flops in the HOV lane on I-15 near Via Rancho Parkway at 1 p.m.

The custom printed flip flops are "his" and "hers" and have Saturday, September 2nd stamped on them.

UPDATE: Within two hours of posting this story on 10News, the sister of Luisa, the bride, reached out to Marihugh to claim the flip flops.  The shoes are on their way to Rosarito for Luisa and Aaron's wedding tomorrow.
