San Diego County's annual "Mowing Down Pollution" lawn equipment trade-in event will take place Saturday, May 13, at the Qualcomm Stadium parking lot.
You can exchange your gas-powered lawn mower or other lawn equipment for new electric models at discounted prices.
The event runs from 8:00 a.m. until noon in the northwest section of the parking lot. Organizers recommend you arrive early because of high demand. The stadium gates open at 4:30 a.m.
The program has been successfully lowering harmful air pollution emissions since 1999, according to the County Air Pollution Control District.
