SANTEE, Calif. (KGTV) - A Santee woman has a warning for car owners: Thieves may be eyeing a high-tech feature.
On Thursday morning, Elizabeth walked out to her driveway off Mission Gorge Road and found her Jeep Grand Cherokee ransacked.
She says she had left it unlocked and found anything with value was gone, including tools, wireless headsets sunglasses, earbuds, and her registration and insurance paperwork.
She glanced at her headrest and saw that both of the video monitors that regularly entertain her grandkids - had been pulled out with wires exposed.
“It looks like they tried to yank it right out of the car,” said Elizabeth.
