Moments after a man left his apartment in Hillcrest, a burglar pounced on him.
Ray, who asked us to keep his last name private, says the burglary happened on Saturday afternoon. And the thief made off with an expensive haul.
Ray says his son left the apartment on Front Street for just a few minutes on Saturday while he got something from the detached garage. The door was unlocked when he left.
When he got back, it was suddenly locked.
After he unlocked it and got back into the home, he found two iPhones, an iPad and a drawing tablet missing.
It appears the thief saw Ray's son leave, went inside and locked the door. After he raided the apartment, he escaped through a screen door in the bedroom.
